Based on some reviews I was afraid that these shoes would be too narrow. I have wide feet. Well, imagine my delight when I tried them on and they turned out to be completely comfortable. They are so cool, too! I wear them with leggings or narrow jeans, and with a very casual dress with a big, slouchy sweater over it and a leather jacket. These boots are awesome and, in comparison to what else is available out there, very affordable.

Gifted these boots to my teen for her 16th—she LOVES them! Pros: nice leather, side zipper for easy on/off, substantial lug sole! Cons: long AF laces that annoyingly wrap around ankle so you need to retie boot every time you put them on. This was fixed by purchasing new 63” round black boot laces. Overall great boot, looks like they’ll withstand some tough stomping!

I’m usually a 9 but I went with a 9.5 in these. I’m obsessed with them. Bought them for a weekend in Austin but have been wearing them everywhere. They are so comfortable and I hate taking them off because they’re so badass. I was worried the take off/ put on process would be annoying because I’ve had other boots where that can be a whole ordeal but these are so easy and I get so many compliments. Walked in them for like 5 hours the first time I put them on and was so happy to not be in pain like the group I was with!

Good Boot. They are more narrow than my Dr Martens, But are not as heavy. Comfortable. Felt true to size. They did squeak ( I don’t mean on the floor) I mean the boot/leather itself… wore off after a few wears. Also. They aren’t “man” looking like some boots of this type. My feet looked smaller than the 9 I wear.

For the price, this is a good boot. The leather is soft, the sole is cushiony, and the string is plenty long. There is no arch support in the shoe and if you have wide calves, you are out of luck. My search will continue, thank goodness zappos has a great return policy.

OMG! These Steve Madden boots fit beautifully. Comfortable right out of the box. They look smart. Everything about them is almost perfect. I love them. Two things, though, did bother me. The leather has an extremely, strong, chemical smell coming from, I assume, the way it was finished or the dye process. I am hoping that dissipates in a short time. The zipper edge at the top on one boot looked like a tiny bit of the fabric was pulling away from the side seam. Hopefully, the zippers and grommets last the life of the boot. Othewise, what a beautiful boot and sturdy boot!

I was looking for a combat style boot, but something a little toned down for a 50something! This is it! Priced right, leather construction, comfy. I think I’ll get a lot of wear out of these with leggings, dresses, and jeans. Wearing them to work today with jeans, concert tee and cardi. I work in a casual office but want to look stylish. These boots are beautiful, comfortable, and stylish. They look great with short and long skirts, as well as pants and shorts. My shoe size is 6.5. And the 6.5 fits perfectly.

I wear a 10.5 W. My daughter wears a 9-9.5 mostly. I ordered these shoes for her in a 10 and here’s what we found: My (10.5) feet fit, but the shoes were a bit too snug on me in width and my toes were right to the edge. These are a true medium width. Had these been for me I would have sent them back, not trusting they’d stretch out enough. They were a tad long for my daughter’s (9.5) feet but not too much to be clumsy. Room for thick socks this winter. The width was fine for her. The quality is great – sturdy, flexible leather (that smells great!), not heavy at all, great lace-up with zipper back. These shoes will serve her well for years which is good because she wants to wear them with everything (and they’re cute with everything from shorts to leggings to jeans & skirts!) Great purchase. Good value.

Although the description clearly says they are leather, the sand colored boots are not leather. I am disappointed that Zappos has this item listed incorrectly. The lacing also pulled oddly to the side when I walked in them.

Cute! Heavier than some boots, but not as heavy as other brands of a similar style. Surprisingly comfortable for the type of boot. The zipper definitely helps getting these on and off.
