These are great boots. They are made from very soft leather and they look great with jeans or tights. I got the black. These are very soft floppy boots and I have skinny ankles so it needed to shorten the strap to keep the boots up but I wore them everyday touring around Italy and I was very comfortable.

These run true to size. I usually wear an 8.5 but ordered the 9 thinking they ran small like other Maddens I have. They were huge. I had to send them back for the 8.5. I love these and wear them all the time. I work retail and have survived 8 hour shifts in them.

These are high quality boots. Very comfortable. I think they do run a bit long. I wear a consistent size 8 and I’m returning them for a 7.5, and there will still be room for thick socks. The leather quality is top notch. Smells so good and very soft. The top is floppy and loose which I love. I cinched the buckle down and it’s perfect. It may be nice for ladies with a larger calf and still be able to tuck jeans inside. I am 5’2″ and weigh 107 lbs, I think my calf is small and they still fit nicely. These are my new favorite go-to everyday boots! And, as always you can never go wrong ordering from Zappos. The best customer service and fastest shipping ever. I strayed once and I got stuck with an “in store” credit due to their 30 day return policy and it took almost two weeks to receive them. I will never shop for shoes online at any place other than my beloved Zappos!

I purchased these because they looked great. I do have a bigger calf so I hoped they would fit. I do wear a C or D width. I will say that I have worn many pairs of boots over the years. These boots are comfortable. When I put them on I was instantly in love. They were wide enough for my feet. The leather is soft and they appeared that they would be comfortable. I supinate when I walk and that puts pressure on the outer edge of my foot. When I put these boots on I was surprised that they had no inner lining. The raw seams are bulky and can roll when you put the boot on. Most boots have a lining to smooth the seams and cut down on pressure and friction. It’s hard to understand why such an otherwise well-made boot would not have an inner liner. Especially at this price. I only had these on for a few minutes when I started having pain in the joint between my distal metatarsal and the cuboid bone. Long story short, I have had a problem with this joint being inflamed before due to a shoe and I am not going through that shot again. It’s pretty painful and not cheap. I could have tried to insert some mole skin but if that didn’t work I could not return the boots. So sorry. I am returning these boots. I would have loved to keep them but this is just too much money for boots that lack a lining. I’m sure it has to do with money but I have 5 pairs of boots that cost less than these, all with lining. Bummer. 🙁

I bought these and got them in the mail a few days ago. I ordered a 10 (the largest available size at the time) without having read all the reviews warning that these run small, and was dismayed when my toes complained when I put them on. After contemplating for two days on whether I would keep the ones I have or try getting a larger size, I viewed the boots on the site again and a size 11 was magically there! I called Zappos to inquire about an exchange policy, to avoid having to re-buy the boots all over again, and the process was everything I had hoped for and more. The larger pair are on their way, and I’ll be returning the ones I have quickly. And if you think I’m crazy about contemplating keeping slightly-snug boots, it’s because these are so amazingly beautiful. They smell awesome, they feel so boss, the leather is great, and I rather like the slouchy look. To the people who want to buy these and then end up complaining about them being too floppy, heed the reviews! And they most definitely run small, so you will need a size larger. The only reason I’m rating “comfort” as 4 stars is because Steve Madden shoes are apparently all rebels and don’t make their shoes “true to size.” I have no doubt that the larger size will fit comfortably, especially paired with thick socks for the upcoming Chicago winter. I love these. I got the 9, I’m in between this and 8.5. The 8.5 would have been just fine, but I wear these with this socks and I put a pad with arch support in the bottoms and these are now so incredibly comfortable. I did take them into the shoe repair to have extra holes put in the straps and also to have them shortened. They were way too loose and way too long. Now, they’re perfect. A higher priced look for less. Well worth the adjustments.

These boots are beautiful. They are funky and sexy. I was not even going to buy them at first because I had already spent so much money on winter boots. I am so glad that I did. They are warm, cozy, great on the snow and not too bad on ice. I absolutely love them.

I ordered both the 8 and the 8 1/2 based on the reviews as to fit (runs large and runs small). I wear an 8 and it was too snug. The 8 1/2 is a bit too big, my heel slides up, but otherwise its comfy, so I am keeping this pair and returning the 8! I can wear them with thick wool socks, so this is perfect for what I was looking for…a warm but stylish winter boot.

These are simply my favorite boots ever. They are comfortable, the leather is ridiculously soft, and they look awesome. I get stopped and asked where I got them everyday…because, yes, I wear them every day. They are a touch more floppy than pictured, but that just makes me happier.

I love these boots they can be paired with skinny jeans or tights, whichever. I like that I can dress up or casual and the boots look great with both styles. These are great looking and comfortable! I love my Banddits. I have been experimenting with the length of the straps and how tight they need to be, as the boots get too floppy for me when I am traipsing around. But they are very comfortable (with an added arch support) and I wear them all the time. I am obsessed.

Love the boots! I love how they are they floppy at the top. A lot of other reviews said they tightened the straps but I chose not to. I love the way they look with the floppy top. I get so many compliments on these boots. They are tight fitting at first but I chose to just wear them and they stretched out just enough. The leather is nice and I like the unfinished edge. These boots are definitely an edgy look and they are wonderful!

I really love this boot. Very comfortable & well made. I always wear a size 8 & found it very roomy. I have to wear a thick sock with it. I did order a size 7 1/2 in the brown as well but it was much too tight so there is quite a difference in just the half size.

I had been looking at these boots for quite some time, knowing I didn’t need another pair of boots. I was out at the mall one day and saw them at a store. They were so cute, leather was amazing and very comfortable. I came home and ordered them from Zappos. I ordered them in the stone color to reason out the purchase of another pair of boots. I got them the next day (Zappos is the best!) I loved the boots, heavy leather, great color. I wear them all day and have also gotten them in the black. Beautiful boot.

After reading other reviews I was not sure if these ran true to size or not, but now that I have received mine I can say that they do (and I love them). I usually wear a 7½ in tennis shoes and a 7 in dress shoes. I ordered a 7 in these boots and they are a perfect fit. I thought the comments about the smell were a bit weird, but now that I have them I must say they do smell fabulous.

Man, I regret listening to so many reviews, I initially ordered the 9 black because 10 was sold out and the next day on the site 10 was their so luckily I was able to order the 10 instead they just switched the order, I got my boots, which I love and the 10 is too big, I should’ve of stayed with the 9, but now that’s sold out. So I guess I will just have to get sole inserts for them so they feet better. Overall I love these boots! Especially you if you have wide calves ladies, you need these boots. I ordered black, and will buy the browns as soon as they go on sale.

These are the best boots. A friend of mine said, you look like you could conquer the world and that’s exactly how I felt, too. Fit was exactly right, leather soft, sole a bit stiff but not too. Love them!

Love, love, love! These shoes look amazing! I get compliments every time I wear them. The look of these shoes outweighs the flaws but I always appreciate a thorough review before purchasing shoes since it tells me what to expect so here they are….Flaws: 1) Sizing: The one flaw that I always have with Steve Madden is the sizing. These shoes were too small in my regular size and too big in a size up. It’s nothing a pair of thick socks or an insole can’t solve but they do need to do something about their sizes. 2.) Cushion: The shoes aren’t cushioned on the inside which they should be for that price. 3) Straps: the straps for the shoe are extremely long so unless you like the super sloppy, laid back,tongue flapping down look, you will have to get extra holes from a shoe repair place. Nothing major. 4) Warmth: don’t expect any. The shoe is just the leather. This was fine for me but as a heads up they are not for extremely cold temperatures

I went with the size 9.5 instead of a 10 because I felt like they would stretch out as time progressed and they did. I normally wear thin socks anyway so I don’t think feel snug at all. I love how these look and have gotten quite a few compliments. I like the “floppy” top of these and think they look great with leggings and skinny jeans. I would buy the brown ones if they ever go on sale!

LOVE these boots. I’m thicc girl and I have bigger calves than average so finding cute boots that fit isn’t always easy. I love the slouchy-ness and they’re super comfortable. I’m on my feet all day and u can wear these no problem!
